Mercury was a division of Ford Motor Company that became defunct in 2011 after 73 years of operation. It was made as an “in between” brand with higher pricing than Ford brand vehicles but lower pricing than Lincoln vehicles, which is Ford’s luxury division. For a few decades it was even branded with Lincoln as “Lincoln-Mercury”. The economic recession related to the housing crash of 2008-2011 may have been a major deciding factor for discontinuing the Mercury brand since Ford was consolidating their resources.

Although the last Mercury vehicle rolled off the assembly line in 2011 there are still plenty of them that are still on the road and which need maintenance and repair services.
