From December 1st to December 20th Crawford’s will be adopting a Wounded Warrior family. Each year the Heartbeat Wounded Warrior program helps veterans and their families by matching them with individuals and organizations that will help them get presents and other items for Christmas or Hanukkah. The Wounded Warrior family provides a wish list that the adopting volunteers help them acquire. Once the family has been selected and matched with Crawford’s Auto then Crawford’s will announce the wish list on their website, social media and posted in the shop. The community is invited to help Crawford’s in acquiring everything on the list. Heartbeat Wounded Warrior indicates that when clothing is requested it is important to provide the exact sizes indicated and that gift cards are an excellent way to add more once the list is completed.
UPDATE:
We will be merging the food drive raffle with the wounded warrior project so anyone who donates either food or funds will receive raffle tickets as well as anyone who donates to the wounded warrior family we are adopting. For every $10 in value you’ll receive a ticket. For example, if you get a bike for one of the kids that is worth $40 then you’ll receive 4 tickets.
Crawford’s is now collaborating with the Mesa Veteran’s Resource Center to adopt a family since Heartbeat did not get any applications from Arizona. The family we are adopting has parents and 2 children, ages 6 and 12. The mother has health issues and they recently lost their home of 5 years along with most of their possessions. They spent most of what they had getting relocated and now they need a lot of help with Christmas. Here is their wish list:

Fundraising Dinner, Friday, December 13, 4-9 pm
We are collaborating with Costa Vida restaurant in Chandler to do a fundraising dinner on Friday, December 13th, from 4 pm to 9 pm.
